Cultural Activities
College is about more than academics. Your life and experiences beyond the classroom enriches your personality by participating in various cultural activities. It gives you the opportunity to explore your interests outside of the classroom. Ismail Yusuf College inclusive environment fosters community and encourages students to pursue the opportunities— both new and familiar—that makes each student unique.
Selection Procedure of the Students to Participate in Cultural Activities:
The cultural committee started the year by selecting new members of the Student’s Organizing Committee who were interviewed to ascertain their capabilities, followed by auditions and interviews for various competitions under fine art, literary art and performing arts. The selected students were chosen to represent for the upcoming annual Intra and intercollegiate events.
Participation in Different Intercollegiate Competition:
Last year it was a proud moment for the college when our students were declared the Winner and won prizes in intercollegiate events like Malhar by Xavier College, Best College Trophy at S.N.D.T College Malad.
Palms Festival:
College organises a two day yearly cultural event Palms Festival in the month of December.
Indoor events: Literary art & Fine art like Elocution, Story Writing, Essay Writing, Poetry and Rangoli, Mehndi, Hairstyle, Just a Minute, etc.
Outdoor events: Singing, Dance, Drama, Fashion show, Duet singing, Duet Dance, etc.
Every year students show their talent & enjoy the festival and they are rewarded at the end of the Palm festival at the Prize Distribution Ceremony. All staff members participate & work enthusiastically to make the Palms Festival successful.
